Korouoma Frozen Waterfalls
A 5 km snowy canyon hike to giant frozen waterfalls, with a fireside BBQ halfway.
Korouoma Nature Reserve lies about 100 km from Rovaniemi. The trail leads through a snow-covered canyon to walls of blue ice — frozen waterfalls up to 30 metres high.
Halfway along the route we stop at a fire place to warm up with a BBQ: sausages, cookies and hot drinks.
The hike is about 5 km with gentle ups and downs. Good winter boots are enough — no experience needed.
